Hello readers, I'm Richard. My friends call me Dickie, so you can and should as well. I'm a lifelong
gamer: card games, board games, some video games, miniatures games, but most especially, tabletop role-playing games. Over the last few years I have truly embraced play by post gaming (PbP) and this blog is dedicated to keeping up with games I'm running or playing in as well as discussing and exploring topics related to PbP.

Why should you read this blog? If you're one of my players or GMs at a table I'm playing in, this will be a place you can hear my thoughts about current, past and future games and characters. If you're interested in networking with other PbP gamers, then I want you to come by and chat/comment on posts. I want to look into tools PbP gamers use, and  always looking for advice to improve things. I would really love to connect with other folks who love the format!

What content will I post? Well, in addition to updates on my games, I will be looking to talk about sites and tools and even writing tips and help. There may be product reviews from time to time related to my games, and any news relevant to PbP gaming will show up here.

DM Dickie's State of the Games Address Jan 2020

My first post is going to be straight to the point: this is where my current games are relative to how life is treating me! I have a strong tendency to take on too much and this has caused me a lot of misfires with my gaming (which are issues I will be delving into in a future post). The plan right now is to be clear and upfront about where various games are with me. After the jump we will start with a roll-call of games I'm running and their current status. After that I'll give a brief review of games I'm playing in before discussing my goals and plans for the next few weeks. Games I'm Running Currently, all the games I'm running are hosted through the Paizo website's forum boards . All of these games fall under one of three categories: Active, On Hold, and Suspended. Where I've Been...

2020. I mean, 2020, right? This year has been really rough on everyone, but the last few months have been especially hard on me personally. I've been cycling between extreme anxiety and depression. Some of the worst of both I've ever had. It's causing major issues in my play-by-post gaming and my life in general, which only feeds back into the cycle!
